Job Summary
Provide personal care and escort assistance to Jordan Valley Senior Care participants, including peri-care, grooming, dressing, showering, bathing, toileting, feeding, and ambulation. Report observed changes in participants' conditions and proactively communicate health and safety concerns to Center Manager and clinical staff. Demonstrate safe practices utilizing proper body mechanics, implement interventions for transfers and mobility, and occasionally accompany participants to outside clinical appointments. Assist with food service delivery and monitoring during mealtimes while participating in social and recreation activities as appropriate. Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional manner with participants and their families.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly population
- Minimum 6 months of clinical experience as a PCA, CNA, or EMT
- Must complete and pass the Jordan Valley Senior Care approved curriculum for Personal Care Aides upon hire
- BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
- Proof of vaccination for Flu, Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis (TB)
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current valid HHA or CNA license
