Job Summary
Provide direct resident care while promoting dignity, independence, and choice. Assist with activities of daily living, including taking vital signs, documenting observations, and reporting changes to leadership. Support residents with dining, tours, and apartment housekeeping, while performing first aid and emergency response procedures. Greet visitors and staff, answer phones, and maintain infection control standards. Complete required training within 120 days and maintain current certifications. Work flexible hours based on community needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one or more years of personal care experience with older adults
- Current First Aid certification
- Current CPR certification
- Food Handlers permit if required by State
- Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
- Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Dementia Care training
- HIV training
- Documentation of prior training for Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR and HIV
