Job Summary
Job Summary: Provides direct resident care in an assisted living community as a universal worker, including performing ADLs, taking vital signs, accurately documenting care and observations, assisting with dining and activities, and responding to emergencies. The role also involves greeting residents and staff, supporting fire safety and infection control practices, assisting with meals and dining-room activities, coordinating with co-workers on lifting and transfers, performing housekeeping and laundry tasks, attending trainings and staff meetings, and participating in tours, move-ins/move-outs, and transfers as needed. The position supports a high-quality, person-centered care environment aligned with Prestige Care values (integrity, trust, commitment, respect) and requires completion of required trainings and competency evaluation within defined timelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Food Handlers permit if required by State
- Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment
- State required training including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR and HIV training if not able to provide appropriate documentation of prior training
