Job Summary
Coordinate food service preparation, center activities, and activity programs for participants while ensuring their recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met. Accompany PACE participants to and from outside specialty appointments. Maintain a valid BLS certification and obtain a California Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of employment. Requires high school diploma, one year of experience with the frail elderly, and preferred bilingual skills in English, Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin. Earn $25.00 hourly with medical, dental, and vision insurance, 403(b) matching, and tuition reimbursement. As the nation's largest Federally Qualified Health Center, work with a diverse team supporting over 400,000 patients in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
Required Qualifications
- Valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
- California Food Handler Certificate of Achievement upon employment, must be attained within 30 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the frail elderly (Geriatric) and disabled population
- Bilingual English/Spanish/Cantonese/Mandarin
