Job Summary
Support clients with Activities of Daily Living including bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, meal prep, and mobility monitoring while providing direct non-medical personal care. Perform safety and wellness observations each shift, communicating any changes in condition or living environment to the agency. Maintain a safe work environment by preventing falls, fires, and trip hazards, and assist family members by teaching proper transfer and repositioning techniques. Participate in required training and education opportunities to enhance service value.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months or more of prior direct caregiving experience
- Must be self-directed
- Service-oriented
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good bedside manner
- Patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled individuals
- Experience working with individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease, or be willing to participate in training to provide service
- Skilled in verbal and written communication
- Dependable
- Reliable transportation
- Must meet background eligibility requirements
- Must provide 2 Professional References
- Must complete all assigned training by agency deadlines
