Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility while providing compassionate physical and emotional support. Monitor resident safety, observe for signs of distress, and accurately document care activities and changes as required. Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs, maintain privacy in accordance with HIPAA, and support a clean, safe living environment. Engage residents in activities promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being. This role functions within an interdisciplinary team at Americare Senior Living's indoor senior living communities, offering flexible scheduling options.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Lift up to 25 lbs.
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs.
- Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- CPR and BLS certifications
- Friendly, patient, and positive attitude
- Strong listening and communication skills
