Job Summary
Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and support residents’ emotional well-being in a senior living environment. Roles include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility support, safety monitoring, documentation of care, and collaboration with nursing staff and caregivers to promote resident comfort, privacy, dignity, and quality of life. This position functions as part of an interdisciplinary care team and may be referred to as PCA, Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Personal Support Aide. The role emphasizes compassionate, resident-centered care and clear communication with residents, families, and healthcare teammates, while upholding HIPAA and company policies. Equipment handling includes lifting/transfers within the stated physical demands, and the environment includes indoor settings with opportunities to engage residents in activities that support physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and BLS certifications are a plus — training available
