Job Summary
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll provide hands-on care to clients, including light housekeeping, meals, and personal care tasks, and accompany clients to appointments, activities, and errands in the community. You’ll support individuals with IDD by helping them achieve goals in their Service Plan, promote independence, dignity, and community integration, and participate in team meetings. The role offers flexible schedules, training, mileage reimbursement, and benefits, with duties that include assisting with daily living, joining clients on community activities, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Requires 18+ years old, HS diploma or GED, valid driver's license with insurance, ability to pass background checks, and availability for weekends/holidays/on-call.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance
- Must pass background checks and clearances
- Availability to work every other weekend, on holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation
