Job Summary
The Personal Care Assistant Non Certified provides routine daily nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse in a post-acute care facility. Responsibilities include assisting with baths, grooming, feeding, toileting, documentation of patient care, responding to call lights, helping evacuate patients when needed, and maintaining professional conduct. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, enrollment in a State-approved CNA program, CPR certification by hire/orientation, and adherence to Life Care standards and company policies. Works under supervision in Jacksonville, FL facilities; role emphasizes patient safety, confidentiality, teamwork, and compliant, compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in a State approved CNA program
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
- CPR certification must remain current during employment
- Lift, turn, move, position, and transport patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse
- Knowledge of practices and procedures as well as regulations governing post-acute care facilities
- Ability to document and chart patient care
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
