Job Summary
Provide personal care and health care services under the direction of a Registered Nurse, including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, meal prep, and light housekeeping. Document care delivery accurately and promptly report changes in the patient's condition or treatment needs. Maintain a safe environment by following infection control practices, using equipment safely, and participating in case conferences and education programs. Complete required in-service courses and comply with agency policies to ensure quality and safe service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Experienced in home health care or related health care field.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Demonstrates ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
- Possesses maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in Home health care.
- Possesses Maryland driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Current CPR card/First Aid card
- Health clearance/physical within 12 months.
- Criminal background clearance.
- Reliable transportation.
- I-9 Documentation.
- Social Security.
- W-4 Federal Income Tax forms.
- State Tax forms.
- TB or Chest X-ray within 12 months.
- Hepatitis B series/declination.
- At least Two (2) letters of Reference (must be in good standing).
- Must complete at least 12 in-service courses within 12 months
