Personal Care Assistant - Facility Based

Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) in a respectful and dignified manner, supporting their independence while tailoring care to individual preferences, cultural background, and beliefs. Monitor and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional wellbeing to the clinical team, ensuring safe personal care practices including infection prevention and adherence to individualised care plans. Maintain accurate documentation of daily care notes, incident reports, and resident preferences while upholding rights to dignity, choice, and privacy. Work within scope of practice following organisational policies, safety guidelines, and relevant legislation. This Casual role is based at Honeysuckle Regional Health's Violet Town Bush Nursing Centre, a community-owned aged care provider with over 100 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum qualification of Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- One year experience in an Australian residential aged care facility
- A positive team approach to caring
- The ability to follow policies, processes and instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in dementia care or palliative care
- Further training related to The Aged Care Quality Standards
- A desire to learn with ongoing professional development and participation in continuous quality programs
