Job Summary
Greets participants upon arrival, assists with coffee, snack, and noon meal service, and prepares individuals for afternoon departure. Provides supervision and encouragement while assisting with activities, group programs, and escorting participants to medical appointments. Accompanies individuals on vans to ensure safety during transport and carries out simple treatments under nursing direction, including catheter care and skin checks. Attends daily morning reports and reports any participant concerns to appropriate staff. This float position requires travel to other sites and includes weekend/holiday rotations. Candidates must hold Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide certification, be bilingual in English and Spanish, and have at least one year of experience working with elderly or frail populations.
Required Qualifications
- Certification as Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- A minimum of one year of experience working with the elderly or other frail populations
- Care and respect for frail elders
- Creativity and confidence in leading group activities
- Reliable transportation to travel to other sites when needed
