Job Summary
Personal Care Aide (PCA) provides daily living support to clients, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, safe transfers, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, hydration monitoring, medication cueing, companionship, and escorting clients to appointments and community activities. The role involves driving or accompanying clients as needed, requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and includes participating in skills labs and potential career advancement toward CNA/HHA certification. The position emphasizes infection-control and safety protocols and requires compassionate, dependable, and discreet communication with clients and supervising staff.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience as a PCA, caregiver, HHA, or CNA is a plus—but training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within the service area.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow all infection-control and safety protocols.
- Friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality.
- Dependable and detail-oriented with ability to notice small changes in client condition.
