Job Summary
Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and feeding. Assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility, perform light housekeeping tasks, and prepare simple meals. Accompany clients to doctor's appointments or community outings, observe and report condition changes, and maintain a safe environment. Follow care plan instructions and health/safety protocols while responding promptly in emergency situations. Weekend schedule required; high school diploma and 6 months caregiving experience preferred. CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of experience in caregiving, home healthcare, hospitality, or a related field
- Physical ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs and perform essential job functions
- Reliable transportation
- Punctual attendance
- Strong communication skills
- Time-management skills
- Compassionate, respectful, and professional demeanor
- Willingness to adhere to health, safety, and infection control standards
- Weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a CNA or HHA
