Job Summary

Provide personal care and hygiene support to clients by assisting with toileting, dressing, feeding, and positioning according to the established Care Plan. Administer treatments and medication reminders as ordered by a physician while maintaining daily documentation on the Aide Charting Sheet. Run authorized errands and report changes in client condition to the nursing supervisor. Maintain a safe environment using medical supplies and equipment as appropriate, ensuring emotional support and client independence. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and bending, with a base hourly rate of $18.65 to $23.00.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Must have a certificate from a Home Health Aide training program consistent with State requirements
  • Must have evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate
  • Must have the maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the client, the client's family and agency personnel
  • Must have a sincere interest in and a sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick and disabled
  • Must be able to lift, turn and transfer clients
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stoop and bend
  • Must have visual/ hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written and verbal communication
  • Must be able to verbalize so that the average person can understand
  • Must be neatly dressed
  • Must maintain good health habits with regular physical and dental exams
  • Must wear an identification badge while working
