Job Summary
Provide personal care and homemaking needs to clients, including assisting with meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility tasks. Maintain daily documentation and data entry for client records and attendance. Demonstrate effective communication strategies while exhibiting compassion and patience with older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals. Use a tablet for work purposes and complete all necessary paperwork. Ensure confidentiality and integrity while representing the organization professionally. Maintain a valid Ohio driver's license and auto insurance for work-related travel.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment and desire to provide excellent service to all clients and aging community members, including those with physical and intellectual disabilities
- Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend and follow company and Day Center policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff
- Willing and able to maintain continual yearly educational requirements (CEU's)
- Ability to satisfactorily perform all job responsibilities and meet the physical requirements
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
- Minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio
- Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving and/or home health experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to use a tablet for work purposes
- Must be able to complete all necessary paperwork
