Job Summary
Provide personal care and support to students with special needs in a school setting, assisting with activities of daily living (toileting, grooming, dressing) and mobility/transfers, offering emotional support, and following individualized care plans developed with teachers and nurses. Facilitate student participation in classroom activities, assist with instructional materials and adaptive equipment, maintain open communication with teachers, parents, and staff, and promote independence and an inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma is the minimum education requirement
- Willingness to pass required clearances and training to ensure safety (mandated reporter training, physical, and TB test)
