Job Summary
Personal Care Aide duties include providing daily living support such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers; assist with mobility using walker/wheelchair; plan and prepare simple meals, monitor hydration, perform light housekeeping and laundry, conduct fall-prevention checks, provide medication cueing and report changes to supervising nurse; offer meaningful companionship, escort clients to appointments and activities, and provide transportation as needed; requires compassionate communication, reliability, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, infection-control compliance, and willingness to travel within the service area; CHHA certification training available if not currently certified; must have valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a caregiver, HHA, or in a similar role is preferred
- If you're not certified, CHHA school program available for certification
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within service area
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow all infection-control and safety protocols
- Friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality
- Dependable and detail-oriented - notice small changes in condition
