Job Summary
Personal Care Aide (PCA) role providing hands-on daily living support to clients in home settings. Responsibilities include bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, safe transfers, mobility guidance with walkers/wheelchairs, meal planning and prep, light housekeeping and laundry, fall-prevention checks, hydration monitoring, medication cueing for the supervising nurse, meaningful companionship, errands and transportation to appointments and activities. Requires a friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the service area. Training available for CNA/HHA certification; potential fast-track promotion to Lead PCA. Candidates with prior PCA/caregiver/HHA/CNA experience are encouraged, though not strictly required. Full-time in Washington, DC area with daytime, evening, or weekend blocks; opportunity for scholarships toward certification and career advancement.
