Job Summary
The Personal Care Aide provides direct, hands-on personal care and supportive services to residents in an assisted living community, enhancing their independence and quality of life. Essential duties include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring resident conditions, and engaging residents in community activities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30–60 days)
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD or chest X-ray) within the past 12 months
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, home health, or long-term care
- Medication aide certification (AMAP) preferred
