Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including toileting, ambulation, eating, transferring, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene according to individual Care Plans. Respond to hand bell calls, help orient new admissions, and support residents with transportation and planned activities. Maintain resident dignity and safety while documenting progress notes, incidents, and changes in condition. Adhere to all adult care home policies, OSHA procedures, and physician orders for special health tasks. Report medical needs or status changes to the ED/Administrator immediately.
Required Qualifications
- C.N.A or Personal Care Aide Certificate (80-Hour) with Personal Care Aide Training within 6-Months of hire
- ability to read, write, understand and follow directions
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to Lift, Push, Pull and Carry a minimum of 50 pounds
- ability to Bend, Stoop, Squat, and reach overhead as needed
- at least 18 years old
- no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program
- clear SBI record
- two-step tuberculin skin test (first test prior to hire and second test within two weeks of first test)
