Personal Care Aide

Job Summary
Provide personal care to senior residents and maintain a clean, safe living environment. Deliver hands-on personal care tasks, assist residents with daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity, follow each resident’s plan of care, and document care appropriately. Maintain sanitary conditions in common areas and bathrooms, manage cleaning supplies and equipment, and report changes in a resident’s health or safety to supervisors. Participate in training, adhere to infection-control and safety protocols, and support compassionate, respectful interactions with residents and their families. Maintain communication with shift teammates, assist during emergencies, and comply with pre-employment screening and vaccination requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to read, write and converse in English effectively
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Have long term care or related experience
- Two-years of experience in housekeeping preferred
- Display proper hand hygiene
- Knowledge of infection control
- Knowledge of safety and fall prevention
- Willingness to work as a member of a team and take direction from supervisors
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Be a leader in providing residential care
