Job Summary
Conduct outbound, banker-initiated contact with members using branch renewal and marketing lead lists to understand banking needs, consolidate share of wallet, and refer to senior bankers. Deliver financial advice for moderate investment and credit solutions, applying risk-based pricing models to ensure profitability while meeting sales targets. Proactively promote a full range of banking products, attend branch meetings and campaigns, and follow through on self-generated and referred leads. Maintain relationships with business partners and comply with anti-money laundering guidelines to optimize business opportunities and referrals.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary education
- 3 years related experience in a financial institution
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven track record in sales
- CSC or IFIC course completed or obtained within 12 months
- above average knowledge and skills as relates to: analytical and inter-personal skills
- general business knowledge
- mathematical aptitude
- Detailed working knowledge of investment
- good knowledge of lending and mortgages
- Sound knowledge of various computer applications such as Excel, Word
- Good knowledge of the sales process
- strong communication skills to interview effectively to uncover member needs
- Good problem-solving skills sufficient to identify, analyze and resolve complex member issues/problems
- Solid negotiation skills to deal with member solutions and sales
Desired Qualifications
- As part of continuing education enrolled in Financial Planning or other similar type programs
