Job Summary
TD Canada Trust Personal Banking Associate Trainee engages customers to understand needs, guides them to appropriate staff or solutions, promotes banking products, and educates on digital banking trends. Responsibilities include handling day-to-day customer service transactions, promoting services, assisting with new accounts and banking solutions, performing cash and non-cash transactions, ensuring accurate documentation, contributing to branch operations and process improvements, and supporting colleagues through training and performance development. The role requires strong communication, familiarity with MS Office and banking software, knowledge of banking processes, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and willingness to mobile within the assigned district as part of a structured training program.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma and/or 1+ years of relevant experience
- Investment Funds Canada (IFC) or equivalent – post-appointment within 6 months
- Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree (in related field) preferred
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), branch software and internet
- Knowledge of banking solutions and processes to advise customers
- A self-starter who works independently in a dynamic work environment through strong administration, organizational, planning and time management skills
- A dynamic, diligent, and effective influencer with can-do attitude to exercise initiative and handle several tasks and changing priorities
- A strong communicator with established customer experience skills who can effectively connect, both verbally and in writing, with customers and related teams in a courteous, and effective manner
