Job Summary
Deliver exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing advice on financial solutions. Welcome clients in the branch lobby, guide them through digital options, and recommend alternative banking channels while addressing everyday banking and credit card needs. Collaborate with partners to identify referral opportunities, review customer profiles, and integrate marketing promotions into conversations to drive business results. Support operational activities including inventory management, filing, and escalated service requests while following risk and compliance processes to safeguard assets. Maintain current knowledge of personal banking products, analyze issues to determine next steps, and report suspicious patterns related to money laundering.
Required Qualifications
- Typically between 1 – 2 years of relevant experience
- Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months)
- Canada only
- Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications
- Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales roles
- Drive to deliver a personal customer experience
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists
- Passionate commitment to helping customers
- A focus on results and the ability to thrive in a consultative sales and team-based environment
- Resourceful self-starter with courage and confidence to approach customers
- Readiness to collaborate and work in different capacities as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and connections with customers
