Job Summary
Win new business and deepen existing deposit and loan relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and navigating WaFd systems. Assist clients with banking needs, including opening accounts, originating loans, and onboarding new customers while demonstrating digital self-service options. Make out-of-office calls and visits to businesses and community organizations as assigned, and contribute to strategies expanding the small business and consumer client base. Communicate clearly with staff and clients verbally, over the phone, and via video chat, functioning as a concierge when needed. Complete foundational certifications and professional development to support branch performance goals and reflect core values of integrity and service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or approved equivalent
- Must have satisfactory transportation
- Prior banking experience, including previous work in customer service or equivalent
- Good math skills
- 10-key and keyboarding
- Standard Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI and Outlook
- Smart phone and digital channel skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate how to use automated technology to teach clients self-service skills
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- Business related college classes or degree preferred
- 2 - 4 years' experience in banking
- Experience in recommending products and services
- Experience in client relationship management
