Job Summary
Conduct thorough financial assessments, recommend appropriate products, and fulfill member transaction requests including business, consumer, and fiduciary accounts. Maintain cash drawers, process loan applications for vehicles and personal loans, and resolve member service issues while providing coaching to ensure staff achieve performance goals. Lead independently in opening and closing branch offices, including before and after-hours operational tasks, and support other branch locations as needed. Act as a subject matter expert by digitally certifying peers, troubleshooting digital tools, and analyzing member credit data to offer best solutions. Proactively address member concerns, cross-sell services based on financial needs, and maintain relationships to grow membership and achieve branch sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of related customer service experience
- At least 3 years of related banking experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, listening skills, and empathy)
- Expert ability to build relationships with other leaders, business partners, and stakeholders
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Must have open availability Monday - Saturday
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Close vision
- Moderate noise level tolerance
- Ability to regularly sit and talk or hear
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to occasionally stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to act in a supervisory capacity, including but not limited to providing approvals, supporting member escalations, opening, and closing the branch independently including but not limited to before hours and after-hours operational tasks, and representing leadership in various aspects in the branch, meetings, and collaborative environments
- Must be Digitally Certified
- Must obtain Signature Guarantee Certification
- Must maintain confidence with employee and organizational concerns, SAFE Credit Union policies and procedures, member financial data and personal information
- Must be able to support and complete routine branch audits to enhance overall efficiency and operational soundness
Desired Qualifications
- Potential to obtain Notary certification, as needed
