Job Summary
Develop new and retain existing customer relationships by proactively identifying cross-selling opportunities and utilizing fundamentals of personal banking to achieve branch goals. Take ownership of the customer experience by opening accounts, resolving issues, and educating clients on available access channels while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict regulatory requirements. Participate in welcoming lobby experiences, direct customers to appropriate team members, and actively engage in business development through phone outreach and community events. Maintain thorough knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and products including retail transactions, ATM settlements, and loan offerings. Work a flexible schedule that may include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential rotation across various branches.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintains attendance with the ability to work a schedule that may include working overtime, nights, weekends and holidays
- May be asked to assist at various branches across Southern Bank's footprint

- Demonstrated positive and helpful attitude toward both internal and external customers
- Good interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to use effective communication skills, understand procedures, and speak clearly to customers, employees and supervisors
