Job Summary
Professional selling position in retail banking focused on proactively meeting customer financial needs through direct sales and referrals while delivering world-class service. The Personal Banker will perform in-person, phone, or video interactions and occasional outside engagements to meet monthly production goals across products and services (loans, deposits, and access to information via multiple platforms). The role requires identifying customer needs and referring to mortgage, retirement, and other bank solutions, delivering confident, needs-based solutions, and maintaining a trustworthy relationship with customers. Responsibilities include greeting customers by name, handling deposits and endorsements, cross-selling with partners, maintaining confidentiality, meeting sales goals, and participating in ongoing training; requires the ability to travel to other branches and to external venues as needed and to work within branch policies and security procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of needs-based sales experience
- Prior job experience with extensive customer contact is required
- Proficient in basic computer operations and standard applications; ability to quickly learn job-specific software
- Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Must be a flexible team player with excellent oral and written communication, customer service and cross-selling skills
- Must be able to establish and maintain working relationships with partners
- Must be self-motivated and assertive with sales environment performance
- Must be able to pass background and credit standards to hold NMLS credentials
- Daily reliable transportation
- Must be able to travel to attend internal education and meetings which could include overnight stay
- High School Diploma or GED; 1 month to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
