Job Summary
In this role, the Associate Personal Banker builds lasting customer relationships through proactive, meaningful conversations that support financial well-being and deepen engagement. Responsibilities include driving branch growth by identifying opportunities and referring customers to appropriate products and solutions, supporting account openings, service requests, and credit applications, and performing cash handling with strict adherence to compliance and risk controls. The role emphasizes delivering accurate, compliant service, leveraging digital tools to enhance the customer experience, and collaborating with teammates to connect customers to licensed bankers or specialists for expert guidance.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of interacting with customers experience (or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education)
- Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening and consistent engagement
- Ability to lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect them with banking products
- Ability to perform cash handling and teller line activities with accurate transactions and compliance
- Comfort using digital tools and technologies and guiding customers in adopting capabilities
- Ability to follow policies, regulations, and identify and escalate risk concerns
- Collaboration with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or specialists
- SAFE registration is required at time of employment
