Job Summary
Greet members at the branch, conduct morning huddles, and meet with clients to assess financial goals and educate them on products. Open accounts, process loan applications, handle transactions, and manage member escalations while following up on new account activity. Partner with the team to meet sales and referral goals, serve as a mentor to Tellers and Financial Specialists, and lead the weekly 8:00 a.m. team meeting. Begin a 12-week onboarding program including virtual and classroom training, plus three hours weekly study for the CLCD Exam. Start the class September 21st at a greater Madison area branch.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of customer service and/or consultative sales experience
- Demonstrated analytical, accuracy and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn a wide range of knowledge and continue to learn and develop your skill-set in a robust feedback environment
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and provide top-notch service
- Demonstrated experience being flexible, adaptable, coachable, and collaborative in an autonomous and constantly changing work environment
- Natural skill-set to lead and influence others
- Proficiency with personal computer and office software
- Must obtain and maintain Notary Public certification in accordance with state requirements
- Valid work authorization to work for UWCU on the date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution or in a retail leadership role
- Knowledge of new accounts, savings instruments, and consumer lending
- Consultative sales experience
