Job Summary
Personal Banker responsible for engaging clients in conversations to uncover financial wellness needs and provide guidance, with a focus on client acquisition and deepening relationships through in-person and proactive outreach. Collaborates with branch teammates and business partners, ensures compliance with policies, supports teller transactions, participates in morning huddles, and may work Saturdays. Requires strong client-service orientation, sales aptitude, relationship-building skills, familiarity with banking products (checking, deposits, home equity, CDs), and ability to educate clients on digital platforms while maintaining high ethical standards and professional communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent business experience (required) OR Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources
- Understanding of consumer credit - including loan to value, debt to income and credit reports
- Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking
- Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact-finding questions with the goal of being helpful
- Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence
- Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.)
- Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key
