Job Summary
Welcome members into the branch and provide professional expertise in deposit, loan, and service sales through rapport building and financial education. Originate, underwrite, and close consumer and home equity loans while interpreting financial inquiries, processing transactions, and securing credit union assets. Balance transactions, complete necessary reports, and identify member opportunities for financial improvement by teaching concepts and communicating recommendations. Adhere to TruStone Financial policies, SAFE Act requirements, and Bank Secrecy Act provisions while maintaining accurate records. Work 40 hours weekly Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays at the Fridley Branch.
Required Qualifications
- Availability to work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:45am – 5:15pm and rotating Saturdays 8:45am – 1:15pm at our Fridley Branch location; non-exempt.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field, or four years of equivalent work experience.
- Two years of cash handling experience or experience serving and interacting with customers.
- Required to be compliant with the terms and conditions outlined in TruStone Financial's SAFE Act Policy, which includes the submission of fingerprints, the successful completion of an FBI background check and maintaining current and compliant registration in Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
- Compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all its provisions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and various background checks.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the workplace.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience recommending products and plans to improve a customer's financial position, preferred.
- Previous experience underwriting loans, preferred.
- Expert knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations, preferred.
