Job Summary
Personal Banker – Float responsible for processing customer transactions (deposits, withdrawals, cashier’s checks, wire transfers), balancing cash, opening consumer and business deposit accounts, and taking/closing loan applications across assigned branch locations. Role involves educating customers about bank products and services, expanding and retaining customer relationships, proactively referring customers to appropriate staff, and conducting financial consultations for consumer loans including home equity lines of credit. Requires adherence to BSA/AML/OFAC regulations, ability to cross-sell products, and strong cash handling, communication, and teamwork skills. Occasional travel to other branches or community events may be required; primarily office/branch-based with standard business hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: banking or customer service experience
- Cash handling experience
- Strong cash handling abilities
- Knowledge of government regulations related to banking
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team
- Good communication and listening skills
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
