Job Summary
The Personal Banker role supports retail banking needs by educating customers on bank products, opening consumer and commercial deposit accounts, processing transactions, taking/closing loan applications (including consumer loans and home equity lines of credit), and proactively deepening customer relationships. Key duties include educating customers on features and benefits, referring customers internally, handling cash transactions and deposits, balancing cash, ensuring regulatory compliance (BSA/AML/OFAC), processing checks and currency handling, and participating in ongoing training for career growth. Strong cash handling, knowledge of bank products and operations, effective communication and confidentiality are essential, along with the ability to work well in a team and provide top-tier customer service. Occasional travel to other branches or community events may be required; primary work environment is office/branch-based with standard business hours.
