Job Summary
Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects by identifying needs and providing advice on financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Proactively engages with existing customers and prospects to grow loyalty and identify immediate or future opportunities, recommending tailored solutions addressing sales and service needs such as everyday banking, retail investments, lending solutions, and home financing. Supports customer transactions based on traffic, generates appointments, and builds new relationships within the community while maintaining current knowledge of personal banking products and trends. Follows through on risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets, maintain privacy, and ensure accurate data entry in line with legal and regulatory requirements. Identifies and reports suspicious patterns of activity suspected to be related to money laundering and completes complex tasks including handling escalations. Works collaboratively within the branch and through various channels with BMO partners to achieve overall business objectives. May work at multiple branches or through various channels based on market needs, with a schedule that may differ from week to week in terms of days worked, hours, and shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
- post-secondary degree in related field of study
- Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction
- Appropriate lending qualifications and designations
- Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions
- Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products
- Experience in financial services
- Experience in a consultative customer service or sales role
- Confident and experienced in the use of social media, tablets, Smart phones, online tools, and applications
