Job Summary
Recognize and meet client needs by proactively selling and cross-selling appropriate banking products and services, providing excellent customer service, handling cash and banking transactions, opening/closing procedures, and resolving client issues. Responsibilities include front-desk client contact, cash handling (drawer, deposits, withdrawals, proof, and recording), processing credit and debit transactions (checking/savings deposits), maintaining cash on hand, opening new accounts and related services, performing money transfers, issuing checks and traveler’s checks, addressing client requests, achieving sales goals through knowledge of bank products, and ensuring lobby security. Key skills include polite client interaction, adherence to procedures, basic problem resolution, ability to learn and apply multiple banking software/tools, product knowledge application to assist clients, and effective sales techniques.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent (GED)
- 1+ years of experience working in a financial institution as a personal banker & teller required
- Knowledgeable in financial institution operating policies and procedures and banking regulations state and federal
