Job Summary
Assist seniors and adults with disabilities with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, and light housekeeping. Prepare meals, measure intake and output, and take vital signs while reinforcing dressings and assisting with ostomy appliances. Support clients with devices like walkers and wheelchairs, perform prescribed range of motion exercises, and apply external catheters or splints under nurse instruction. Maintain a clean environment and ensure clients have access to necessary equipment. This role requires a high school diploma, six months of CNA experience, and a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
- Six months experience as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in health care (in homes or facilities)
- Successful completion of a State approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course
- Successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
- Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick
- Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- Current CPR Certificate
- Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
- Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Valid driver's license
- Use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
