Person In Charge (PIC)

As PIC, the primary customer-facing leader when the Store Manager is absent, responsible for running the store with authority to maximize profit, efficiency, and customer service. Duties include supervising store personnel during shifts (especially at night), acting as Cashier-Checker, maintaining familiarity with company policies, monitoring service on the sales floor, replenishing stock near checkout, ensuring a clean and safe work environment, assisting other cashiers with POS issues, performing basic office tasks, handling payments and giving correct change, bagging groceries, and possibly closing out day-to-day office tasks. The role requires following established customer service procedures, supervising staff, and possessing knowledge of all store positions; prior clerk or manager experience is desired.
