Job Summary
Issue OW, HPMV and SV permits for the NZ Transport Agency on behalf of the NZ Transport Agency, following the Overweight Permit Manual and VDAM 2016. Administer policy governing movement of overweight/over-dimension vehicles, liaise with the NZ Police CVST, act as customer contact for overweight permits, contribute to monthly reports, and perform permit-related duties as directed. Maintain professional registrations, pursue development goals, stay current with professional developments, build a technical network, reflect on performance, and continuously improve service delivery. Ensure project safety plans are in place, identify training needs, and manage hazards. Exhibits strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team, while maintaining confidentiality and high integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Engineering, Architecture, Business, Formal Sciences
- Certificate/Associate/Diploma programs (Computer Technology, Drafting Technology)
- Administrative and process experience
- Team and target delivery experience
- Customer liaison experience
- Strong organisational ability to optimise and prioritise conflicting demands
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literate; proficient in MS Office suite 2013 – Proficient in Word and Excel essential
