Job Summary
Prepare, submit, and track permit applications with local, state, and federal agencies while coordinating with planning, zoning, building, and environmental departments. Maintain permit logs, status reports, and project documentation by reviewing drawings for completeness and communicating requirements, timelines, and conditions to project teams. Respond to agency comments and coordinate resubmittals to ensure compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations. This full-time role in Humble, TX supports TAK Broadband's fiber network construction projects across 42 states, requiring a driver's license and strong organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification
- a driver's license is required if the role involves driving
- Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred (planning, construction management, engineering, or related field)
- 2+ years of permitting or regulatory coordination experience preferred
- Familiarity with municipal permitting processes and workflows
- Prior knowledge or experience with construction permits a plus
- Experience as an administrative support, office support or other relevant support role
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Strong analytical skills, ability to identify and resolve issues quickly
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to learn new software efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes
