Job Summary
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in the ER by rapidly triaging patients to determine urgency, administering medications and treatments in high-pressure situations, and performing emergency procedures such as wound care, intubation, or defibrillation. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans; educate patients and families on post-treatment care and follow-up; maintain accurate and detailed patient records. Demonstrate strong decision-making and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while ensuring patient safety and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license valid in New Mexico
- BLS certification at minimum; ACLS preferred or required per facility standards
- Ability to perform emergency procedures (e.g., wound care, intubation, defibrillation) as part of ER care
- Experience in emergency department or acute care settings
