Job Summary
Permanent Substitute for Food and Nutrition Services at Grand Rapids Public Schools. Works in the absence of regular staff; shifts vary and include responsibilities in utility/production for satellite and secondary schools and the Nutrition Center. Requires dependable attendance, ability to handle food safety procedures, maintain sanitation, participate as a team member, interact professionally with scholars, staff, and community, and travel between district sites as needed. Emphasizes inclusive, diverse environment and ADA accommodations.
Required Qualifications
- Must have access to a working telephone or mobile phone to receive work-related communications and respond in a timely manner
- Must have access to reliable transportation to travel between district sites as needed
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, completing tasks with minimal supervision
- Must be able to accurately maintain ordering and inventory records
- Must be able to interact with scholars and staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to participate as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a diverse environment
