Job Summary
Permanent substitute teacher responsible for delivering instruction from the absent teacher’s lesson plan, maintaining classroom routines, managing student behavior, collaborating with the principal/department head, and ensuring regular attendance. Must teach as outlined in the lesson plan, consult with administrators before non-specified procedures, report assignments and student behavior, and adhere to school policies and procedures. Requires effective communication and physical ability to perform classroom duties; emphasizes leadership to maximize student achievement and the ability to work within the school’s established routines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree for Substitute Teaching OR Bachelor's Degree with valid Kentucky Teaching Certification
- Valid Kentucky Teaching Certification for area and grade level of assignment OR a valid Kentucky 5-year Certification for Substitute Teaching
