Job Summary
Deliver instruction and maintain classroom routines using teacher-provided lesson plans; manage classroom behavior and create a respectful and safe learning environment; supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during school-related events; follow all school and district policies including safety and emergency procedures; collaborate with staff to support student learning and building-wide initiatives; fill in for various grade levels and content areas with minimal advance notice.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an approved substitute teacher registered through SubCentral assignment system (subcentral.gwaea.org)
- Must hold a valid substitute authorization or teaching license through the State of Iowa to register with SubCentral
