Job Summary
Deliver instruction and maintain classroom routines in accordance with teacher-provided lesson plans. Manage classroom behavior and create a respectful and safe learning environment. Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and during school-related events. Follow all school and district policies, including safety and emergency procedures. Collaborate with staff to support student learning and building-wide initiatives. Fill in for various grade levels and content areas with minimal advance notice.
Required Qualifications
- Must be an approved substitute teacher registered through the SubCentral assignment system at subcentral.gwaea.org
- Must hold a valid substitute authorization or teaching license through the State of Iowa to register with SubCentral
