Job Summary
Supervise Permanency staff assigned to the area, promote the well-being of children in the Permanency Services Program, and participate in staff meetings and trainings. Coordinate with staff from other agencies involved in providing Permanency Services and interact routinely with clients, judges, attorneys, children, school personnel, and community aspects. Ensure full-time employment with a bachelor's degree in social work or related field from an accredited four-year college or university and four years full-time child placing experience as a worker or above in a private or state agency. Candidates must have direct supervisory experience in Permanency Supervision, Conservatorship Supervision, Family-Based Safety Services Supervision, or Child Protective Investigations Supervision. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
- 4 years full time child placing experience as a worker or above in a private or state agency
- Direct supervisory experience in Permanency Supervision
- Direct supervisory experience in Conservatorship Supervision
- Direct supervisory experience in Family-Based Safety Services (FBSS) Supervision
- Direct supervisory experience in Child Protective Investigations (CPI) Supervision
- Experience in DFPS, an SSCC, or a comparable child welfare agency
- Compassionate
- Eager to learn
- Desire to help families in times of crisis to build on their strengths for healthy, long-lasting relationships by connecting them with community resources to improve their lives
- Desire to help children grow, learn, and build healthy families
- Strong desire to advocate for children and their families
