Job Summary
Supervise a team of Permanency Specialists aligned with DCFS policies, driving permanency attainment through adoption and guardianship while providing clinical oversight for assessment, treatment planning, and court advocacy. Conduct monthly staffing, review case documentation, and manage workflow assignments to ensure compliance with licensing regulations and best practices. Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives by collecting data across all program departments, analyzing performance against DCFS dashboards, and reporting outcomes to department Directors and VPs. Liaise with Agencies Performance and Measurement Team on program compliance and attend multidisciplinary meetings to support youth safety and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work or other human services related field
- CWEL certification
- CERAP certification
- Two years of relevant experience in child welfare and/or human services
- knowledge of issues surrounding children with intellectual, and developmental disabilities, autism, and emotional/behavioral disorders
- At least two years administrative and/or supervisory experience
- Familiarity with DCFS rules and procedures specifically pertaining to adoption, subsidized guardianship, and the juvenile court system
- Current American Heart Association certification in First Aid and CPR
- ability to perform CPR and CPI
- corrected vision and hearing within normal range
- ability to operate a motor vehicle
- ability to assist and lift up to 30 pounds with varying amounts of assistance
- ability to perform unplanned Category III tasks
Desired Qualifications
