Job Summary
Serve as a resource to Case Managers and resource families regarding adoption and permanency, working directly with foster and adoptive families to provide guidance and support. Provide SWAN (Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network) services to children and families, supporting them in achieving permanency goals and connecting with appropriate resources. Collaborate with Case Managers, social workers, families, and community partners while helping plan and participate in events that promote and celebrate adoption and permanency. Complete required documentation and follow agency policies and applicable regulations. This is not a primarily office-based position; travel is essential throughout the assigned service area to meet with children and families at private residences, schools, courts, and other locations. The schedule varies based on the needs of children and families and requires flexibility for meetings, visits, appointments, and trainings. Successful candidates must be comfortable working independently in the community and managing multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain required PA State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances
- Ability to independently travel to required locations and maintain reliable transportation for work-related travel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassion and respect for the diverse backgrounds of the children and families we serve
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in human services, social work, or a related field
- Two years of experience working with children and/or families
