Job Summary
Manage and monitor peritoneal dialysis (PD) treatments, including CAPD and APD modalities, while educating patients and caregivers on procedures, infection prevention, and home dialysis techniques. Assess patients for complications such as peritonitis, catheter infections, and fluid imbalances, then collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to adjust treatment plans. Document progress, outcomes, and clinical notes accurately in EMR systems, conduct follow-up visits and telehealth check-ins, and maintain PD supplies and equipment per clinical protocols. Requires an active Texas RN license with preferred PD or nephrology experience. Located in Bellaire, TX, with a flexible schedule and competitive salary.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas (required)
- Prior experience in peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, or nephrology nursing preferred
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to work independently and manage a patient caseload with minimal supervision
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
Desired Qualifications
- CNN (Certified Nephrology Nurse) certification is a plus
